Shelling at Great Kills Park 🐚
Gateway Recreation Area

After seeing the seashelled shores of Staten Island’s Great Kills Park during my mermaid shoot I knew I’d have to get back soon. With my supplies running low and the weather perfect, I spent the afternoon picking up a great selection of goodies.

Some seclusion was just what I wanted..

Such a great spot for mermaid shoots! Next time.

Good Year

I also picked up some beautiful pieces of driftwood.

The sun-bleached shells waiting for me to inspect them.

The baby birds’ nests were in these holes. Their mammas were freaking out as I walked by.

So much litter washed up from the lapping waves. So many tampon dispensers. Gross.

Mermaid location scouting continues…

I didn’t see anyone for quite some time.

Scallops are always my favorite find.

Horseshoe crab

This was a cool find.

My stash…

Now I am ready to craft a while lot more!
