Vegan By Victoria’s is an all-vegan panadería in an unassuming strip mall in Santa Ana, California. Inside, a variety of authentic Mexican pastries as pleasing to the eye as they are to the tongue. Now stepping into an all-vegan establishment is exciting as it is… but an all-vegan panadería? I was as giddy as a school girl.
Though I wanted to sample everything, I had to keep in mind my desert plans for the evening, the fact that I was now a solo traveler. I opted for this pineapple cream filled pastry, devoured ravenously on my lap soon thereafter.
I also chose this dreamy layer cake ball thing that was encased in a marshmallow-y coating and rolled in coconut. It was like a Snowball. So damn good–especially after a long night of sleeping on the wood slat/car. I want to eat this again right now. And then 5 minutes after that.. and so on.
And I had to get a concha, purple in hue. It was a bit dry by the time I got to it, as any roll would be a da and a half later.
