Sand Island Petroglyph Panel
More Ancient Pictographs & Petroglyphs,
O.G. Emojis, in Utah

Now officially on my trek south to Flagstaff, Arizona, I hit a series of relatively easily accessible scenic stops along the way, starting with the Sand Island Petroglyph Panel.  The Anasazi, ancestors to the Pueblo, carved up this panel good and well, possibly since occupied as early as 6,500 BC.  Then , as the thousands of years past, other civilizations added their two cents.  But don’t you think about adding your own b.s.  That’s illegal, my friend.  And you’re too late–this panel already says it all. Sheep playing a flute?  Yeah–it says that so…

It blows my mind how I can drive my car up to this rock and see communications from this era. This is a very impressive panel that you don’t have to hike to access.
