Roscoe’s Neapolitan Pizzeria, Takoma Park, Maryland

Takoma Park, which is just a short walk away from where I live in Washington DC, has got some great food. This time I walked to Roscoe’s Neapolitan Pizzeria to order from their all-vegan menu. It’s pretty extensive and offers many vegetal dishes and not just meat substitutes.

First, an Aperol Spritz because I never had one and have been meaning to… plus I had time. My job does not allow alcohol consumption within 12 hours of my shift. It tasted liked orange Triamedic, a cough syrup from my youth. Probably wouldn’t partake again.

I got the vegetable panino with light vegan cheese. It was delicious. Oily and herby focaccia, roasted veggies, pesto and vegan cheese. All the elements working together to make a fantastic vegan sammy.

I opted for dessert… a slice of vanilla cake with chocolate frosting from Sticky Fingers Bakery.

Some shots from the walk back. Cool brutalist building
