PSA: Treat Yo Self

As I break off onward to other destinations, I knew I’d need to give myself a treat. So when you can either get a gorss motel room for $80 or a gross motel room with a hot tub for $20 more, you get the hot tub! Because you deserve the best!

The evening would be about treat myself to some pampering and a good meal. The hot tub, on the pampering side, would also make for some vintage-inspired pictures. But first, I had to focus the camera.

I put the whole tub of bubble bath in because it didn’t seem to be bubbly enough. But once the stream of water and jets activated them, they were overflowing into the motel room! It was a bit of a folly–which is also part of “Treat Yo Self.” Because you shouldn’t take yourself too seriously and you should always feel free to make all kinds of ridiculous decisions. So let’s look at the ridiculous decisions! 🫧

Though I was staying in a shady motel, I would order from True Food Kitchen. My friend had gotten “National Cheeseburger Day” in my head. And they have a double one… a house-made with portobello, walnut, beet, lettuce, pickled onion, organic tomato, vegan cheddar with a jalapeño remoulade. Delectable!
