Pretty Pictures of Mermaid Tasks

After learning that I had been approved to sell my mermaid wares at the largest Mermaid Convention in the world, I had a lot of work to do! Thankfully my school recess travel plans had to be cancelled because of the weather and my days could be devoted to getting my fins in a row.

Mostly, I needed supplies to craft a bunch more tops and costumes. So I hit Fabric Warehouse in Rahway, NJ where I could cheaply adorn my shop’s displays and to trim my tops… after splurging at many amazing thrift stores in New Jersey (and Long Island)… (Best thrift shopping in the area, btw.)

I’m not going to see most of my couch for 3 months. Though this is a lot of shells, I’m going to need more! Thankfully I have another Florida trip set for spring break.

My bra stash… I am making tops as small as 30A, as large as 46DDD and I offer custom orders. Because mermaids come in all shapes and sizes.

These formal dresses will be great for full costumes. Gosh, I may have to hire someone to help me!

And I’m making little mermaid costumes too! As well as shoes, purses and other accessories.

Also to do, getting my vendor space set–including displays, dressing area, signage, etc. I’m going to need a storage unit after this goes down.

On lunch break!

It’s going to be a wacky couple of months, especially considering that the convention might be postponed or cancelled due to public health concerns. πŸ™„
