Pretty as a Cupcake

What is that, velvet? Why yes, they are Red Velvet. Sprinkles’ fantastic vegan recipe makes for a very impressive addition to a work function. And because it’s for colleagues, I didn’t skimp on the red and the sweet. Because you eat with your eyes… and then you eat with your mouth after. And I am an ambassador of veganism via cupcakes.
Red Velvet are one of my favorite cupcake flavors. And as I sampled one I realized why. The texture, the subtle cocoa flavor and the creamy frosting reminded me of… a Devil Dog! (I was a big Drake’s fan when I was a kid.)
I really love cream cheese frosting. It’s that tang. And that slightly off-white hue.

Unwrapped, because I was going to eat it. A V.V. batch is usually 11 cupcakes. I have to make sure it’s not poison, because you’re royalty.
