Pit Stop: DC

That’s what this is, I’ve decided. A pit stop. Refueling before I move onward. It is just lasting months, as I knew it would. But the feeling of sacrifice I couldn’t predict. The suspension of a forward progression of time, the isolation in this tangent. The standstill of my other life. I know I will soon look back on my time in DC fondly as a means to a better place–and so I want to fill it with as much joy as I am capable. Though it is beginning to get to me. I’m homesick. Hobbysick. My pantry-sick. All of a sudden I miss every(thing).
