I was really excited to try Pigeon Peas, a Caribbean eatery in Bloomfield, New Jersey that had a ton of labelled vegan options! After a long day of some New Jersey misses, we wanted a no-fail meal. Unfortunately so did many others. We had to wait a long time for our food, but there was no being annoyed at the sweetness of Pigeon Peas’ matriarch.

A split pea patty did tied me over a bit. Flakey and delectable

I got the Naija Bowl with chickpea, plantain, chana and jollof rice. Very delicious and just what I needed

The Vegan Oxtails came with rice & beans and plantains

The cauliflower vegan wings… crispy and spicy dipped in mango habanero sauce

Pigeon Peas was a yummy stop of unique vegan offerings!
