Panaca, Nevada

After a wet ride of downpours in the desert accredited to Hurricane Hilary, I arrived at Panaca, Nevada. Here I would enjoy a charming bed and breakfast along with a pretty amazing state park, a warm spring, some muddy trails and, fantastically, a slither of time with the stars. But let us start on the road, where alien-themed roadside attractions were a must.

Back on this lonely road…

This alien stood next to an inexplicably closed tourist shop.

No pictures, please

Now in Panaca, a quick walk to the cave down the block from my accommodations.

Unfortunately it was too muddy to climb…

I can see grafitti inside. It is right next to a high school so….

Green and orange clay on my hiking boots

I loved these messes of cacti. These were at the Panaca warm springs

Getting in the Panaca Warm Springs now.

But then it started raining

Waiting a few minutes, things got better. I took another dip!

Love these water shoes

Would have loved to spend more time here, but I had to check out.

Stay tuned for more area beauty!
