Overnight in Tallahassee, Florida

I am always excite to fly to Florida–for palm trees and proximity to the beach. But here in Tallahassee, the beach would not be an option. But there was plenty to fill my time during my stay.

Colorful murals all about. I love when the hotel is actually close to some good eats…

I would hit up The Bark for some vegan brunch on this Sunday morning.

I got a vegan Bloody Mary just to remind myself that I don’t like them LOL! But I drank it all and felt its alcohol go straight to my head.

My seitan “chicken” and waffle. It was yummy but a bit underwhelming as far as portion size. I do appreciate that the “chicken” was housemade seitan.

Yellow on yellow

It was very yummy.

Some tropical abandonment. The area had been hit in May by nearly Hurricane strength winds.

As usual, the palm trees do it for me.

Vintage shopping in the Railroad Square Arts District, just a quick walk from my hotel.

Fat Cat Books was a cute shop with live cats roaming about. Yes, please!

Cute baby torty

Florida, bright and pretty

I was curious about this place but it had been damaged by the storms. Looks like it is a VR arcade? Eh, not really into that.

The heat getting to me, I retreated to my room. I have some leads on some stops to make if/when I return. But bye for now, Tallahassee!
