Overnight in Norfolk, Virginia

Another night, another city. This time a lovely stop at Norfolk, Virginia with a lot of time to kill thankfully! I explored by foot, hitting up an old rural cemetery I had looked into before arriving. But there was also these huge navy ships around… one directly across from my waterfront balcony.

This is a naval museum… for scale, there is a guy up there by the flags. Yeah, it was huge.

I found a fantastic vegan meal at Cafe Milo. A Vegan Crabcake sandwich made out of Lion’s mane mushrooms topped with a house-made red pepper, gastrique sauce. It was delicious… and the Old Bay seasoned fries–my goodness.

Lots of shots because I was so impressed.

The magnifying mirror looked like a little portrait of me on the wall

These stockings had to get into the garbage. They were causing me too much grief.

Now this was so delightful… the First Officer got some vegan scones for us to feast upon in the am. A very nice surprise!

Ok, I am really in the Philly airport now because we had a 3-hour layover. This was the noodle bowl I ate. It was good for airport food!

The smile of the last flight of the last day of the trip… and then I go home… very briefly.
