Olympic National Park, Rialto & Ruby Beaches
October 22, 2024
I wanted to treat myself to a gift for my birthday… one of my favorite things… a beautiful place.
Olympic National Park on Washington state’s Olympic Peninsular has an abundance of all kinds of beauty. One can spend weeks in the range of landscape wonders in the park, but I only had two days. So I headed to the coast–with the goal of putting myself within the fairy garden that is the Hoh Rainforest. But first, two of the coast’s glorious beaches. Rialto at dusk on an atmospheric evening, oozing Pacific Northwest-ism. And Ruby at dawn.
When I lived in Seattle many years ago, I was amused by the head of Washington on the state road signs. There he is again.
Rialto Beach
Morning at Ruby Beach. I was enthusiastically inspired by the place. I will create a Pacific Northwest mermaid top and shoot here one day!
These rocks need a mermaid
Happy birthday to me!
Found some pretty shells to start my top.
