More Water Appreciation,
New York City Waterways
September 7, 2020

First: Coffee, then Kayak. What am I saying, I have been in a kayak exactly twice in my life, including this time. π And just like the first time, I barely contributed anything to the rowing process. Water: I just enjoy being around it, within in, on top of it–any and all prepositions.

We rowed through Jamaica Bay to Little Egg Island. I kept trying to capture a crisp shot of the Manhattan skyline across the way. I need a vintage nautical telescope for a better view.

Arrival on the island

Ah, untouched shells. Wish I had more time to collect…

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily–life is but a dream

More well-earned avocado toasts–with tahini and roasted pepitas

The next boat back to Bay Ridge via NYC Ferry. I didn’t have to row this one either.

Coney Island. The summer hasn’t been the same without its fireworks. β€οΈ

Time to lose my sea legs and prepare for entering a school building once again.
