My Mom is cooler than yours. I mean, look at those brows. Though mine look pretty good too.
I had grand cake intentions for today, but… sometimes I have cake fails. My Mother’s Day cake was a hot mess, though my sweet Mom would never say that. The problem was the buttercream. I used Nutiva shortening, which I won’t buy again. Despite it being bright yellow, it doesn’t take gel coloring very well… and piping does not hold but oozes into a mess. 😭
Thankfully I also brought the left over red velvet cupcakes and some chocolate chip cookies.
I am so pleased I finally convinced my siblings to get on board with reviving this picture of us! Just one more to go! But I am too excited about it not to post the 3 out of 4. You’re next, Kenny!
