It’s been a minute since I was at Modern Love in Brooklyn. So having a hair appointment in Williamsburg, I met up with old friends for some food and libations.

These big fat fried housemade mozzarella balls (ain’t that a series of amazing words?) have been on my list for a while now. Herb breaded cashew mozzarella was dreamy, as was the marinara. The marinara actually is what sent this appetizer of the moon in deliciousness.

Friend’s meal: The Burrito Bowl is spiced rice, refried pinto beans, walnut chorizo, pico, shredded lettuce, shaved radish, pickled jalapenos, guacamole, d’orito spiced tortilla strips, micro-cilantro topped with “D’orito” spiced tofu

My Kale Caeser Salad–lacinato kale, butter lettuce, mushroom bacon, pepita parmesan, capers, cheezy croutons, tahini caper dressing along with a big avocado.

The absolutely fantastic Molo Nachos are walnut chorizo, cashew queso, pico de gallo, guacamole, pickled red onions, pickled jalapeños, house hot sauce, and cilantro.

Some classic sundaes for dessert: two scoops of their housemade cashew ice cream, caramel, chocolate syrup, chopped peanuts, coconut whip and sprinkles.

And mine, the Strawberry Sundae: two scoops housemade cashew ice cream (strawberry and vanilla), strawberry syrup, coconut whip, sprinkles, and strawberry dust.

Another delicious meal in the books!
