June means it is the countdown to the annual Mermaid Parade at Coney Island! I have made several few tops–a few for some shoots later this week, my own for the parade and one for a friend. With plenty of shells to use, I’ve dived into mermaid crafting, full throttle.

I made this top but I don’t like it. The slight differences in the size of the shells is off-putting. I think I will just give it to the salvation army.

For another model… made mostly with the scallops from the North Shore bird sanctuary.

And finally my new iridescent top! I love iridescence… It all started with my early love of Crystal Barbie.
