I was back at the The Kings Park State Hospital on a very cold winter’s day, knowing full well that the piercing wind would surely push us inside for shelter. After finally exploring the exteriors of the structures across Old Dock Road., the plan was to get inside the Quad.
Buildings 41, 42, 43: Patient Wards 101-108, 109-122, and 123-128; Kitchen & Dining Rooms
The Quad is officially Buildings 41, 42, 43: Patient Wards 101-108, 109-122, and 123-128 and their Kitchen & Dining Rooms. As with any large psychiatric hospital ruins, the wards offer a repetitive arrangement of rooms, however the colorful artwork and the shifting light make each space new. Here are the pictures:
