Long Island Birthday Camping ⛺ -

A birthday celebration in the great outdoors on Long Island was in the books for quite some time. But when it arrived, a cold snap made it slightly less comfortable. We made the best of it!

Starting with a quick Panera sandwich because: quick and easy.

My birthday vegan charcuterie board from VegOn Board. It is always a pleasure getting a board from this Long Island business. We were there from the start and we are happy to see that her buiness has really expanded.

Special peeps. I’ve met some great folks in the profession of teaching–on the left a para and now friend I had in my class moons ago who was my first Staten Island mermaid! In the center, T-dog–a fellow adventurer.

Tents are set up! I forgot the moon would be so big, thwarting my night shoot.

That moon! I’d sleep well though my feet were real cold.

I woke up early, as I often do, and went on a hike by myself. I watched the sun rise through the foliage and it was glorious.
