Let’s Hear It For the Dole Whip
July 5, 2022

Though Dole Whip is a vegan, it is certainly not as healthy as simply blending frozen fruit yourself. But it does serve a participatory purpose. Its widespread availability, especially in the places with a dearth of vegan options, makes it a sight for sore eyes. Like, say, Lake George–as pictured below at Martha’s Dandee Creme. It makes a vegan feel more normal in this twisted, animal-exploiting world.

My sundae of pineapple Dole Whip and strawberry sauce… but they forgot the fresh banana I requested. That would have helped cut the unnaturalness.
