It Takes Two to Taco

Wynwood, Miami is a bit of a thing. It’s an Art District showcasing some pretty spectacular graffiti murals, “good vibes” (i.e. the smell of mary jane), and lots of hip eateries and shops. So that means a ton of people: not my favorite thing. πŸ˜† But that is where Charley’s Tacos, an all-vegan award-winning eatery is, so… we went.

Starving like Marvin, we arrived with little patience for much. But our agua frescas soothed immediately. I got the Pineapple Guava. It might of been the most delicious drink I’ve ever had.

Elote–grilled corn on the cob smothered in a tofu garlic aioli, rolled in toasted peanut chili powder and coriander.

Hello, beautiful.

The Quesadilla–with their house almond mozzarella and their seitan carne asada. Yes, puhleez.

My tacos–the Soy Chorizo and Yuba Carnitas on freshly made corn tortillas. They are really good.

Charley’s Tacos is doing it right. Flavorful and fresh–with no packaged products.

Also on the taco front–Taco Coyo on Palm Beach Island. This was my first meal. The Cauliflower tacos hit the spot, welcoming me into the freshness of Florida.
