Happy (Real) Flag Day πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ &
Vegan Reddi Wip

You remember that pie a few posts ago? Well I got in there finally. And with a dollop of Reddi Wip‘s all-vegan coconut whip cream! Yes, now “Big Whipped Cream” is cashing in on woke eaters. Also, Happy Real Flag Day tomorrow.

I really liked this recipe because it wasn’t sweetness overboard. The crust itself has minimal sweetness actually. So it pairs nicely with the tart and sweet filling.

Add some of that nice stark-white coconut whip cream and you’ve got a pie that Agent Cooper would love.

Most nostalgic is the Reddi Wip noise, the reliable aeration (I don’t know how many Soyatoo cans I have purchased only to have their cream be completely inaccessible because of faulty nozzles), the sensation. Reminds me of when I would sneak into the fridge as a kid and squirt whipped cream in my mouth. Now I can do that again!

They make two kinds of vegan Reddi Wips, coconut (featured here) and almond. And they’re not scared to say “vegan” on their website and right on the label. It’s actually certified vegan, which I also appreciate.

Certifiable.

And look! You can now do vegan whippets… inhaling the nitrous oxide for all you who aren’t hip to inhalants. But I am kidding. We all need our brain cells. Don’t do drugs.
