Happy July 4th Cupcakes 🧨

Though I had just gotten home from my trip, I quickly got to work on an Independence Day treat for the festivities. I took a risk on veganizing these firecracker cupcakes. But I had no more all-purpose flour and subbed with cake flour and whole wheat flour. The result, a texture too soft to handle my decorative goals… they arrived to my destination a total mess. Luckily I took some pictures before the mess…
I filled with sprinkles, exploding with a bite.

I ran out to get licorice for… the fire cracker wick.
Dandies to be dipped in a vegan white chocolate I would try to get an opaque red… with less than moderate success.
Eeeeh.
All done! Looking nice when all pieced together.
Ready for a long train ride. I sure do miss my car already.
