Gourmet Cooking, Bag #1: Vegan Rice Crispy Treats

With five bags of vegan marshmallows to use before their expiration date on 2/14/07, crispy rice treats (a.k.a. Rice Krispy treats) were in order.
Materials:
5 cups storebrand crisp rice cereal
1 bag VeganSweets marshmallows
6 Tbsp. Earth Balance magarine
9″ non-stick pan
Step 1: Melt margarine in a large non-stick saucepan over very low heat. Once the margarine is melted, add the bag of marshmallows. Stir constantly until the little nubs are gooey and smooshie to the touch. Keep the heat very low to avoid burning and have patience.
Eventually with constant mixing you’ll have a blob of marshmallow. Step 2: Add the five cups of crispy rice cereal to the saucepan and stir until evenly coated.
Step 3: As soon as you have a ball of well-coated crispies, press evenly into your pan.
Step 4: Allow to cool for about 20 minutes, cut and enjoy!
