Fort Hill Cemetery
Auburn, New York

Missing Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, I crafted a graving itinerary to explore some of the area cemeteries. I set off realizing the effort might be in vain, given the size and beauty of where I come from. But I was happily surprised to find three gorgeous historic cemeteries that reignited my passion for graveyard hunting. The first is Fort Hill Cemetery in Auburn, New York, incorporated in 1851.

Given my itinerary and with sunset in mind, I stayed to trek just a portion of its 83 acres. Here, where autumn still pops brightly and crunches under my feet, I captured a lot of beauty.

Wait. I never had the chance to love you.

High from the hill.. the Fort Hill

There was a tree that had crashed down on some headstones. I saw the aftermath.

There were lots of headstones in some trouble. Nature was overtaking…

Those hips tho

She cannot smell anything

“He was faithful”

The original scrunchie on the wrist perhaps?

Have to get back here soon to investigate it further.
