One perk about living in New York City is the authentic international markets about the boroughs. I recently discovered two new ones: Fei Long Shopping Center in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn and HL Supermarket in New Dorp on Staten Island. I was on a mission to make my holiday treats a bit more sweet with unique garnishes. But I discovered many reasons to return.

Bussing to Staten Island… that’s where my car was.

On the way home I stopped at HL Supermarket, a bright and new location.
