I made some Halloween treats for a party… which means the eyeballs came out of the pantry once again. So let me talk about candy eyeballs for a bit. In the past, every time I looked at a package of candy eyeballs I saw that they were not vegan. Either they had gelatin, confectioner’s glaze or egg albumen. But I was excited to find Dallies candy eyeballs at my local Big Lots store. So I finally can make Halloween goodies with candy eyeballs. Here is the package in case you want to hunt them down yourself. They come in small and large sizes. 🙂

I used some pre-made pastry dough (again, I know) to make some pastry mummies after a batch of cupcakes failed. I wanted to make sure I had something to bring to a Halloween Party. They came out cute! I was also trying to use up some jelly because there are like 3 or 4 jars of jelly in the fridge. But it turned out that the Polaner All-Fruit melted and ran too much. The darker Bonne Maman worked better.
