Elizabeth A. Morton National Wildlife Refuge, Part 1
May 13, 2023

One of my favorite places on Long Island, I try to visit the Elizabeth A. Morton National Wildlife Refuge every year or so. This time was a very exciting homecoming trek with my long-time pal who is just returning to the Island and is hungry for renewed wonder. Unfortunately, as can be the case, large groups of visitors diminished the experience a bit. The birds were not that hungry, but the shore of Peconic Bay would be very giving in other ways.
Great place for a fairy shoot…

Alvin!!! (“Ok!”)

I hope to be back soon before I leave the NYC/LI area. Till then!
