Easy Vegan Eating in Rochester

Eating vegan in Rochester is just too easy. With established favorite cuisines (like Ethiopian, above, Addis Ababa‘s vegan platter with plenty of injera) and great and plentiful date spots, we are making up for beginning our time long distance.

Here is one such date night at La Casa Restaurant. Two extremely potent margaritas, my goodness. I could not even drink one as it rendered me loopy half way through!

Yummy guacamole and chips… devoured in an instant.

My veggie tacos–pretty basic but basically yummy. They definitely needed bean. That would have been an easy fix.

Double-wrapped corn tortilla… yessss

Another date at Roc Cinema, a renovated theater that serves you at your seat. But this would prove to be a tremendous waste of money. Like $39 for a pretzel and a cocktail. Yikes!

My themed cocktail. We saw the Barbie movie. It was very dumb in many different ways.

My vegan quesadilla was a big fail. I only ate the edges which were not subjected to the deep pools of processed cheese product. I don’t know what I was thinking getting this.

A slice of strawberry rhubarb cake from Red Fern… instant gratification dessert… aah

Staying in we got calzones from Create A Pizza just down the block.

I got tofu ricotta, artichoke, spinach and vegan pepperoni from Grass Fed Vegan Butcher! It was dreamy….

A time we stopped by Balsam Bagels… their carrot lox breakfast bagel is something special. It was carrot lox, vegan cream cheese, capers, tomatoes, red onions and cucumbers.

We also got a vegan peach turnover. It was all right… served its purpose.

And this was just a few days of living…
