Donut Run, Washington DC

Living so close to Donut Run and not having yet tried their delicious looking all-vegan donuts was not sitting right with me. So I went on my way early this morning, a quick walk on the shady side of the street for some sweet satisfaction.
They close at 2pm daily and run out regularly, says my roomie. But I was arriving early on an off day and was glad there was no line.
My stash: Boston Cream, The Homer (strawberry frosted and sprinkled), the chocolate coconut and the crème brûlée

I am trying to make it easier for my roommate to eat… so I don’t devour them all.
Each was perfect–so flavorful, not overly sweet, airy and all that make donuts fantastic. My favorite was the Boston Cream–rich chocolate, thick vanilla pudding, dreamy donut vessel for both flavors to hit right
A special Wednesday treat. Maybe I’ll make this a tradition? Sweet Midweek!
