Deciduous [Pictorial]
November 2, 2018
As soon as I stepped into Green-Wood Cemetery for a photography mission last Spring, I knew I’d have to return to see its Autumn. Because: Trees. With peak foliage being so fleeting, I took advantage of a beautiful Spring-like Autumn day to hunt and capture it, holding onto a season so readily dismissed… (mostly by consumerism which ushers in the Holidays earlier and earlier each year and the climate change that offers only a small slither of the year as my favorite ‘sweater weather’.) To color, and to it dying and falling off the tree.
‘The bird’
Fallen stars on an asphalt sky
The next time I step into Green-Wood, none of this will be same.
