California Desert Adventure ☀️
Ludlow, California

The Transcontinental Railroad was a big deal in the 1880’s.  It brought to life countless towns along its path west, towns that would supply the steam engines with water.  One of them was Ludlow, California.  Soon the railway boom gave way to other town developments to welcome the Gold Rushers.  Ludlow, situated off the road that would become Route 66, did not survive the passing decades having been bypassed by that very historic interstate. It has been a Ghost Town since the 1960’s; its history sits decaying in plain view, another exhibit rich with all the ways time can make something irrelevant.
