California Desert Adventure ☀️
Borrego Springs (Night)

Last time I was in Borrego Springs in February of 2020, it was the trial of my then-new camera base. Since then I have discovered that the settings were way off when I did my night shoot, resulting in disappointing shots. This time, much more exciting and dynamic shots near the town’s famous serpent sculpture. Though light still poured out of town of this dark sky community, the Milky Way was out of this world.

A little light play. I need to find a reliable light source I can control easily. This is actually the light from my friend’s iPhone.

The Dragon Queen

A vivid Milky Way can keep me excitedly shooting way into the wee hours of the night. Because it is off-season in the desert, no one showed up to also shoot the serpent. So we were free to play!

The problem with an ultra wide angle lens and shooting with someone else…

Practicing our moves for the intergalactic battle

Back at our awesome hotel’s stargazing amphitheater

I wish I would have noticed how amazing the Milky Way was looking at this final stop. I would have stayed out longer…

So much beauty
