Another Visit to Abandoned Greycourt Women’s Prison / Abandoned Camp Laguardia

I had a very specific goal when I headed to Greycourt Prison/Camp Laguardia in Chester, New York. I wanted to see more of it since my last visit was so quick and get a general sense if access points were consistent or not. The path I had walked on my first visit in April was completely overgrown, with deer feeding and trotting about. But I entered to achieve my goal. It was another quick visit but I did see some new areas of the really big complex. With the sun was on its way out, so then would be me… and this time my car did not get stuck in the mud.

I explored the second floor cells–which were pretty much the same as the first floor.

It’s very unnerving at this site. Both visits were uneasy for me and I left quickly.

I wonder who has been sweeping the floors.

Love these layers

Door to the balcony

I walked over to the structure next to the prison complex. It seemed like a rec room of some sort.

Till next time…
