An Afternoon in Akron
July 2, 2020
On my way back to Cleveland for my morning flight, I stopped in Akron for some meandering. I wound up a neat marketplace that had some vegan options. A festive Independence Day cocktail before I settle into my last evening in Ohio.
Nomz has some unique eats. I went for the Vegan Broccoli Sub with roasted broccoli, vegan mozzarella, vegan mayo, lychee relish and crispy onions. It was all on a heavenly soft bun.

Also in Akron and a new must-go when I am back in Ohio: Bomb Shelter. It’s an amazing vintage store… and set up so thoughtfully that it seconds as a Retro Museum. A big fan of the vintage design and wares, I was giddy to be within so much cool. What is even better is their prices are actually affordable. I wound up scoring my summer kismet dress… a dress stumbled upon that is just my style and bafflingly fitted to my measurements.
These working tube televisions were fantastic. I want to buy everything in this store.
I did buy that hat. How could I not?
