All-Vegan in Brooklyn
February 2, 2015
New York City has its own all-vegan creperie now, Little Choc Apothecary. The bustling, pretty little shop is a welcome addition to NYC’s all-vegan community–which is a bit lacking. So welcome, Little Choc!
She had the sweet and I had the savory. Here they are–real crepes! These are the real deal. And they’re real-deal delicious. What’s even better, they use nothing uber-processed and packaged.ย
Here is their house made seitan crepe, Khale Seitan. I could have eaten two.
And the sweet house made “newtella” and banana crepe also aimed to please.
Haymaker’s Corner Store is in Champ’s Diner‘s old space. They’re an all-vegan corner store stocked with vegan pantry staples. refrigerated goods, and a small selection of prepared food. They’ve even got vegan profos.ย
And finally, more food. A stop at Jungle Cafe in Greenpoint, a yummy all-veg restaurant/buffet with fresh, vibrant plant-based offerings.
I got the beet burger. Just what the doctor ordered. A meaty patty with all the fixings, complemented with a carrot gingerย covered salad.ย
Thank for the eats, Brooklyn! Keep up the good work.
