Abandoned Cortina Ski Valley Resort ⛷️

It was a lovely and invigorating hike up (and down) to the abandoned ski lifts of the now-defunct Cortina Valley Ski Resort in Haines Falls, New York. Requiring quite a bit of bushwhacking, the hike was a bit of an adventure including hidden deep puddles of soaking ground and unknown wild life high in the tree top. The sights are well worth it, however. Wear long pants, waterproof shoes and maybe bring a machete…
The resort’s pool was a unique little biome.
