Abandoned Church in the Woods

Feeling the urge to see as much as I can before I am no longer living in the DC area, I chased down another place on my list while being on Short Call Reserve. This abandoned church is one of two in the woods–relics of a ghost town. With a pretty lengthy hike to these ruins, I just made it to one of the churches because I was worried I’d be called in to fly and not be able to report as I was … in the woods with at least a 45 minute hike back to an hour and a half drive. So here is what I saw…

Worth the many steps! I miss exploring abandoned places.
