Abandoned Cabins at
Lowell Lake State Park, Vermont

Lowell Lake State Park is Vermont perfection. It opened as a recreational area in 1880 and I am pretty sure not much has changed since that time. The cabins that once sheltered visitors during this time remain in the park shuttered (mostly), dotting the beautiful lakeside property with just the kind of abandoned grit I like mixing in with nature’s potent beauty.

I know I say this constantly, but I need to get back here soon to get on the lake… and have a picnic or a photoshoot.

No vandalism makes these cabins truly suspended in time.

Some of the cabins had entry points, but things are pretty much preserved inside.

A great break from the sun in here… and some pretty lake views. Put this on this list of places to smooch someone.

The most elaborate seems to be the newest construction. Can I live here please?

The amazing views of the lake surrounded by Vermont green.

See you soon, Lowell. xovv
