A trip to Brooklyn

Scenes from our “trip” to Brooklyn… The view from our room in the highrise.

On the way to Monte’s, Brooklyn’s oldest Italian restaurant, for a rehearsal dinner. The Electrician wore Gucci, me–polyurethane.

After way too much wine, the morning after was tough. Brunch at Sun in Bloom helped tremendously. I had an appetizer of shitake “bacon” silver dollar pancakes…

and their very satisfying sweet and savory breakfast burrito: black bean, quinoa, currants, mushroom and greens packed with avocado chunks with a side of dressed Romaine and parsnips. Delicious!

Finally, the main event at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture.
