Elizabeth A. Morton National Wildlife Refuge in Long Island’s Sag Harbor is a magical place to visit. Since I was going alllll the way out East, a quick commune with the birds was very necessary on this Earth Day. But please don’t go. You’d mess with my bird flow. Since I only get out there once every couple of years, we can work out a schedule if you want to feel those tiny little bird feet tickle your fingers…
Crazy Bird Lady.

I only had sliced almonds to share. They seemed to like them. I am going to try to make friends with humans this way, extending my palm full of sliced almonds and waiting…
With the sun heading out, the deer were getting their din-dins.

This wild turkey wanted my almonds too. But I had to run if I was going to set up my star shoot in a relaxed fashion.

Commune with those who live in the sky: check. Next up, communing with the sky.
