A recipient of their weekly emailing, the menus of 4 Course Vegan
have long been textually tempting my tummy. My arrival back in the States was the push needed to finally make a reservation. The dining concept was interesting: a weekly changing menu at a location revealed a few days before the intimate communal feast. Community schommunity! My party and I were there for Chef Matteo‘s 4-course gourmet vegan dinner. In that capacity the experience was wonderful.
Pre-course:
Radish ravioli filled with cashew cream and drizzled in green pesto. Although this quick bite was not officially on the menu, it was my favorite.
Course 1:
Caramelized onion soup with sour rye crouton and apple thyme relish.
Course 2:
Baby Italian arugula with ruby grapefruit and citrus chipotle dressing. Delish!
Course 3:
French lentil roulade with spring asparagus and wild mushroom jus. The main course. The asparagus knocked my socks off more than the roulade.
Course 4:
Dessert was a cinnamon mocha torte with blood orange syrup and candied walnuts. This was just perfect.
