The last time I visited Chinatown for the Lunar New Year celebration was 12 years ago… the last Year of the Ox. But 2021 would be a drastically different experience as large gatherings are banned, masks hide the smiles, and the small businesses in the area are struggling. The small businesses that distinguish the area and contribute to so much to the city’s identity as a melting pot need support to get through this time. So get yourself to Chinatown and hit one of the many vegan options in the area!

The pretty lanterns are part of Light Up Chinatown in hopes to create more foot traffic in the area.

OG NYC veg, Vegetarian Dim Sum House. I have fond memories of this place from way back.
The dim sum spread back at home. Thought New York City is now allowing indoor dining, Vegetarian Dim Sum House was not offering this option yet.
