π« Star Trails on the Lake π«

A long day ended in Wolcott, New York, where we’d settle in for Labor Day activities. But unfortunately the forecast called for clouds the next two evenings. So I set up to shoot right way to capture what I could… and it turned out to be a fruitful shoot with stars, shooting stars, the Milky Way, and a sequence for some pretty impressive star trails.
There was a ton of light from the other cottages, but they made the horizon interesting.

It wasn’t super dark, but I have been making the best of that, using to try to highlight a more interesting foreground.

Can you tell I love this slide? This is where I set up the star trails sequence.

And this was the result of 139 images. I have to do a better job of making sure the North Star is in the center of the frame next time…
