πŸ–οΈ Life’s a Beach… And A Natural Spring Pool… And A National Wildlife Refuge

Finding beauty in Florida is very easy. As I settle back into a real November in New York, some pictures from the Sunshine State.

The first beach stop is always the most powerful:

A quick spontaneous stop at Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge–the FIRST National Wildlife Refuge in the country, established in 1904! Not to be missed is the timeline of NWR’s along the Centennial Trail.

You’re living all over me

Now at Coral Gables’ Venetian Pool. It’s absolutely beautiful. Created in 1923, there are some great artifacts on display of its early days. The pool is fed by natural springs and there are a couple of areas of waterfalls for great shots.

They also have life jackets so you can float around its entirety. Great for bad swimmers like me.

Now we’re on Siesta Key outside Sarasota!

Got a lot of pretty shells there on the Gulf side

“No fiilter” This beautiful sunset is so dreamy.
