π Happy New Year to Me
Oh Little Town of Allen
October 21, 2020
Autumn is my favorite season for so many reasons. A short stop before holiday hoopla, the glorious seasonal transition brings the goods–by way of my favorite tones in the trees and rustling at my feet, tights weather, sweater weather, pumpkins, my birthday, Libra sun, Halloween, giving thanks to all the Christmas joy you bring… oh wait, that’s Stevie Wonder.
It’s the foliage, a favorite thing, that I revel in the most. To see the face of change so vibrant—let’s look at a spontaneous hike in Allentown as I waited for breakfast place to open.
If one can fall in love with a leaf, it might have happened with this one. Or at least half-way in love. Is there a half-way?
Not pictured, a guy on a kayak.
Bat leaves
Cheating on that other leaf with this one now
Wanting a proper breakfast before heading onward into deep Pennsylvania, it was The Vegan Butcher I was waiting on for a breakfast bite. It was a delicious stop and then I was ready for hours of driving!
Open-faced avocado toast with Just Egg on top. The balsamic drizzle did wonders to this!
