Dia de los Muertos 2023 

Even though I no longer teach, I would still follow the tradition I have grown so accustom to… setting up my ofrenda and honoring the lives of dearly departed.

This year, a Calavera cake after I came across this pan. I imagined it decorated to the nine’s.

This was a first go. I had leftover pale green buttecream, so the colors I made used that as a base.

Next time I will use the vibrant fuschia and more candy embellishments. But it came out cool!

The cake got devoured in one sitting, though there is still a piece up on the ofrenda.
